THE QUESTION
If you were to die today, do you know for sure where you would spend eternity?
My friend, you have just been presented the most important question you will ever be asked. I know, because someone who cared for my soul asked me this question when I was in my early twenties. Finding the answer to this question was the single most life changing experience in my life! May I please share my testimony with you?
This friend showed me it is possible to be religious, go to church, be baptized, try to do good, and still not have eternal life! I saw from God’s Word that there are four things one must believe and accept in their heart in order to go to Heaven. I can joyfully say that I have assurance of eternal life and share with you these four truths as clearly found in the book of Romans in the New Testament.
First Step
Second Step
Third Step
Fourth Step
is admitting that you are a sinner! Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God." This means we do not deserve Heaven! God demands us to be sorry for our sins and to repent. Luke 13:3
is realizing you owe a penalty for your sin. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." This means that anyone who rejects God's forgiveness through his Son will be separated from God forever in Hell as made clear in Revelation 20:14.
is that you must believe that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for you with His own blood. Romans 5:8 & 9 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." This means that only Jesus can forgive us and give eternal life.
is you must believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord in Heaven who came and died for our sins and rose again the third day. Romans 10:9 says,
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior. Romans 10:13 says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." My friend, right now you are faced with the most important decision in your life. Will you say yes or no to Jesus? The Lord wants to save you.
Will you pray this prayer?
